Two Decades of
Design Excellence
Design Academy was founded in 2002 with a singular vision: to democratise world-class creative education across India. Starting with a single studio in Mumbai's vibrant Andheri East neighbourhood, the Academy welcomed its first batch of 30 passionate students.
Over two decades, we have grown into a multi-campus institution with over 10,000 alumni placed across India's leading fashion houses, design studios, advertising agencies and technology companies.
Founded in Mumbai with the B.Sc. Fashion Design programme — first batch of 30 students
Expanded to Delhi campus; launched Interior Design programme; first UGC affiliation
Opened Kolkata and Pune campuses; introduced Textile Design and Graphic Design degrees
Launched M.Sc. postgraduate programme; crossed 5,000 active students milestone
10,000+ alumni globally; NAAC A+ accreditation; launched online learning programmes
